Replacing low watt HID (50W-150W) in bollards and post tops has been a difficult task primarily due to size limitations within the fixture. But now there are high powered 277V LED A21, LED A23, and LED A25 lamps designed with a smaller form factor than typical LED Cobs, allowing them to fit in this application. They benefit from the 330°-340° omni-directional beam spread from the A-lamp shape and most are available in E26 medium base or EX39 mogul base. They can also replace 200W and 300W Incandescent lamps in addition to the HID.
With 150W equivalent LED A21 lamps there is now a dimmable option. It is a Keystone 20W 2500 lumen LED A21 with 120V TRIAC dimming. Available in 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 5000K, it can deliver from 2460 lumens up to 2710 lumens in 5000K, making it a great option for church sanctuaries and similar high ceiling applications that need a dimmable LED replacement.
