Goal:

The customer in this case study is a local commercial developer who was looking at various ways to upgrade the property as they searched for tenants. Existing fixtures in the facility were old fluorescent tube fixtures with diminished light output. They were hoping to retrofit these fixtures to LED to improve the look of the building and use energy efficiency as a selling point to prospective tenants.

Before: 4′ 32W Fluorescent

After: 15W Type B LED T8

Results:

The result of this LED retrofit was a 70% in energy reduction with light levels increasing by 20%+. The LED T8 lamps bypassed the fluorescent ballast for further energy and maintenance savings. Along with an improved look of the facility, the new tenant won’t have to worry about lighting for at least 5 years.
