TCP LED Horticulture Luminaires: Vaportight & Top Light

TCP LED Horticulture Luminaires are now in stock and come in two fixture styles; an LED Horticulture Vapor Tight and an LED Horticulture Top Light. The LED Top Light has the look of a linear highbay and is a modular design, meaning they can be installed side-to-side or in a linear fashion to suit the needs of the application.

Both TCP Horticultural luminaires come in two different growth spectrums; All Purpose Growth Spectrum (Vegetative) or Supplemental Growth Spectrum (Flowering). The Vegetative growth spectrum utilizes a balanced wavelength ranging in 400-700nm to nurture early plant growth while the flowering growth spectrum is a heavy-red wavelength that is mostly in the 600-700nm range that is going to make the most growth impact with a 916 μmol/s photosynthetic photon flux (PPF) and high efficacy of 3.56 μmol/J for the LED Top Light Luminaire.

As we have blogged about in the past, when it comes to horticultural lighting LED is lapping HPS in numerous areas, from wattage reduction to HVAC savings given how hot HPS runs. The superior control of LED when it comes to wavelength (Vegetative/Flowering in this instance with TCP) allows users to build the optimal growth setup for a given application.

For added control, TCP’s Horticulture Vapor Tights can be controlled with the TCP Smart Stuff app. TCP’s Smart Stuff App is a bluetooth controlled system that you control with an Android or Apple device to schedule day/night cycles and save multiple scenes to provide the optimum PPFD levels for a plant type.
