HyLite NexGen LED Lotus Lamps; 90CRI PAR56 PAR64 Replacements

If you have been a regular reader of our blog, you know we have been writing about high ceiling church lighting applications for some time! We have helped convert hundreds of churches around the country to LED lighting, and this includes some of the rare sanctuary lights you might come across like a PAR56, E11 or PS25 bulb. As such, we are always looking for new and unique solutions so that we can offer our customers the latest in lighting technology.

One interesting new solution is the HyLite NexGen LED Lotus lamp. These are a proprietary lamp made by HyLite and are designed for replacing high-watt HID and incandescent sources in a downlight-style LED light. The newest version features selectable technology that is becoming commonplace in the market. This allows the user to change between 3000K, 4000K or 5000K color temps on the light itself.

There is also a power-select button the lamp allowing the user to switch power/lumen levels. The NexGen LED Lotus comes in 40W/60W which delivers 7200-10,000+ lumens and replaces up to a 500W PAR56/64. There is also a 100W/150W LED Lotus which delivers 18,000-24,000+ lumens. Amazing efficacy levels at 163-180 lumens per watt! With this efficiency, expect to save 90+% in energy savings! The selectable nature of the lamp also allows it to replace numerous lamps with just 1 SKU, and makes it easy for the end user to change the light in the field to suit the needs of the application.

What else makes the HyLite LED lotus special? A 90+ CRI makes a huge difference in color rendering compared to standard 80+ CRI LED lamps. A 90+ CRI makes it ideal for houses of worships or art galleries, where showing truer colors makes all the difference! These Lotus lamps are also enclosed-rated and IP65 rated, so they can be used indoors/outdoors and in nearly any fixture imaginable. TRIAC dimmable from 0-100%.

HyLite LED Lotus Lamp Replaces PAR64

The Lotus is even versatile in how it installs. Most often these are used to replace PAR56 or PAR64 lamps, so a GX16d connector is the way to go in these applications. But it can also come in an EX39 mogul base, making it easy to replace high-watt HID sources. There is also the option to have the lamp come with a whip connector for a direct-connection to the power if you are bypassing the socket.

How about beam spreads? The default beam spread for the LED Lotus is 120°, but you can also get it in 15° Spot, 25° Narrow Flood or 40° Flood. It’s important to consider the ceiling height and the lamp you are replacing when deciding on the beam spread.
