Case Study: Holy Land Hummus Factory LED Retrofit

Holy Land distributes it’s food products to many local stores and co-ops throughout the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota, and has even expanded business to neighboring states. Though business continues to grow, the family remains committed to the original idea of providing quality food with friendly family atmosphere. Goal:

Holy Land’s hummus factory in Northeast Minneapolis was being lit up with fluorescent and HID lighting systems. As is the case in many applications like this, this lighting had dimmed over time and created maintenance issues as many fixtures were hard to reach and were out. Premier proposed retrofitting some of the fixtures to LED while replacing other HID & fluorescent sources with new LED Fixtures.

Results:

As is evident from the picture above, the new LEDs improved light levels in the facility over greatly while saving 58% on energy costs. This included LED highbays, LED microstrips, LED tubes as well as standard LED screw-in lamps and LED wallpacks on the exterior. The long-lasting nature of LED meant they didn’t have to worry about these lights for at least 5 years and they were able to utilize rebates and grants to help pay for the project.
