After many years of pushing Type A and Type C LED T8 tubes, GE has finally joined the Type B LED T8 market.
They put their own unique twist on it as with their 2′ and 4′ LED Tubes they offer a pre-wired socket kit that comes with a fuse. This means that in the event of a power surge, instead of the LED tube(s) itself burning out, the fuse will go out. The lamps will stop working but once the fuse is replaced it will fire back up.
GE Type B LED tubes come with their usual unparalleled efficacy, as they deliver 2050-2100 lumens on just 15W for the 4′ version. Available in 3500K, 4000K and 5000K color temps, these GE Type B tubes are DLC rated with a lifespan of 50,000 hours and a 5 year manufacturer warranty.
