So! Is the T5 LED tubes – Type A are just a replacement tube that doesn’t have to have the fixture re-wired to remove a Ballast and change tube receivers at each end of the fixture? How about a fixture that has Sylvania FP28/835/ECO tubes?
Hi I am working on a project at work in a nursing facility where I have 50 fixtures that require 2 bulbs (F54T5/830 ) I would like to replace them with an L.E.D equivalent not only for energy efficiency but mostly due to accessibility they are used to backlight a series of 50 stained glass patterns and are not very easy to remove to replace the current fluorescent bulbs I would like to know price and availability Please my name is Dave Jennings and I am the facilities manager for Jewish Senior Services in Fairfield CT my email is djennings@jseniors .org
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the message! You have a few different options for replacing those 54W HO T5 lamps. You can get Type A LED T5 lamps that work on your existing ballast or Type B LED T5 lamps that bypass the ballast and wire direct. Type A would be the easiest install but you have to make sure your existing ballasts are on the compatibility list – see below:

The other option would be Type B LED T5 tubes from Keystone that bypass the ballast and wire direct. The initial install is a bit lengthier but with the ballast removed you have taken out one failure point as far as long-term maintenance is concerned.

Give those options a look and if you have any questions just let us know! We can also provide you a volume pricing quote if you’d like (looks like you’d need 100 bulbs total).
Can I replace f54/t5/840 to led light in my shop thanks
